The Farmer's Monument is an impressive, black granite piece located on the grounds of the Vandalia Illinois Tourist Information Center near the intersection of Interstate 70 and Route 51. Dedicated on June 16th, 2001, this monument is a tribute to the prairie farmers contributions of the past which helped lead to the development of present day and future generations to come.
