The Vandalia Historical Society offers one of the observances of Abraham Lincoln's Birthday in the State of Illinois.

A celebration program is held in the Supreme Court Room at the Vandalia Statehouse, the building where Lincoln began his career in politics and was legally enrolled as an attorney.

Held at 2pm on February 12th. The observance of Abraham Lincoln's Birthday features a keynote speaker talking about some aspect of Lincoln's life. In recent years, it has also featured a display of Lincoln Memorabilia from the collection of Kevin Kaegy of Greenville.

Tours of the Old State Capitol, led by members of the Vandalia Statehouse staff, are also offered.
