Vandalia celebrates the Fourth Of July at Vandalia Lake with a fireworks display held on the north side of the lake across from the marina and campground. The fireworks are sponsered by the Vandalia Lions Club with contributions from local businesses and organizations. At dusk the lake is filled with boats and spectators sitting along the lake bank from the marina to the end of the campground to watch the forty five minute to hour fireworks display.
