The Vandalia Chamber of Commerce was organized in 1914, is a very active Chamber and today has approximately 200 members. Meetings are held on the first Wednesday of the month at noon, at the Ponderosa Restaurant where a short program of general interest is usually given.

We have a full slate of officers and 15 members on the board of directors, serving three year terms. The officers are on a step-up system, with only the treasurer being elected each year.

A small paid staff help in our efforts to support business and its local environment. We rely on the financial support of our membership to develop and complete projects and programs.

From large industry, to self-employed, to interested individuals, members of the Vandalia Chamber of Commerce can meet on equal ground to work for the success of their business or organization and for the economic, civic and social betterment of the area.

Almost every product or service a member needs can be obtained from a Chamber member--people who join the Chamber do so for the same reason--they want your business and in turn would be happy to do business with you.

Members can always be assured that the Chamber staff will promote Chamber members when an inquiry is received, and any literature or promotion pieces left in the Chamber office will be made available to visitors and those requesting information via phone, mail, or fax.

Membership on any committee or special event is open to all Chamber members, and the board and staff are always open to new ideas, new events and new assistance.

Membership in the Vandalia Chamber of Commerce is an investment in the region, in the other members, and most importantly, in your own business or service. Some have said that Chamber membership doesn't cost---it pays!
